SCOTLAND'S biggest industry event will see the country's top hair and beauty experts battle it out in Glasgow this autumn.

Hosted by anchor Josie Smith and a special guest presenter still to be revealed, hundreds of elite professionals, salons and barbers are set to descend on the plush Hilton hotel.

67,000 verified votes were cast before talented finalists were announced for the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards (SHABA) earlier this month.

Now in its ninth year, the highly successful competition has attracted more than 400 entries from salons and individuals across Scotland.

Guests will be treated to a three-course meal and will have the chance to network with some of the industries biggest players.

The event is designed to showcase the country's creative talent and reward those who excel in their field.

SHABA founder Joanne Reid said: “The competition is very fierce this year and I am very proud to have some of the biggest names in the industry as part of the judging panel.

“One of the biggest categories this year is the 'best barber' having made it gender neutral everyone is excited to see who wins this one.”

The event will take place on September 8. Visit scottishhairandbeautyawards.com to know more.
