Police closed the Kingston Bridge earlier this evening after a man was found on the wrong side of the road.
The M8 flyover was shut off by cops in both directions.
Motorists travelling in and out of Glasgow are being met with major delays, with those on the bridge stuck in nose-to-tail traffic.
All lanes were closed while officers and negotiators took the man to safety.
