A raging brother smashed his sister's partner over the head with a handgun because he thought he was cheating on her.
Ross Owens, 35, carried out the attack before texting sister Lana saying: "spoke to him already", accompanied by a picture of the firearm.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that Owens clubbed Alexander McNally, 28, with the weapon at his home on Killearn Street in March 2019 before chasing him into the street.

He dropped the gun - which turned out to be a dummy - at the scene.
The court heard that Lana Owens, 31, had rowed with Mr McNally over his infidelity before telling her brother what had happened.
Prosecutor Lucy Adams said: “Mr McNally's door was kicked in by Owens and he chased him into the living room while in possession of a black hand gun.
“Owens struck him on on the head with it and told him to ‘sit f***ing down’.”
Mr McNally escaped the flat but was pursued by Owens
The latter was seen in the street with the weapon and police were called.
An armed response team turned up and discovered McNally with a bleeding wound to his head.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but the injury didn’t require treatment.
Owens was arrested at his home.
Sheriff Andrew Cubie deferred sentence until next month for reports.
He told Owens: “The inevitability of all this will be a substantial period in custody.
“Even though this gun is not real, it makes no difference in the sentencing.”
Owens was remanded in custody.
