Fire crews have raced to an 'unsafe canopy' in Glasgow's Union Street where the road has been sealed off.
Three appliances were deployed to the Egyptian Halls just after 5pm this evening.
One eyewitness described the canvas cover "becoming detached" from the building.
An area of the road has been sealed off by the fire service.
Heavy traffic can now be found in the area as a result of the closure.
Police are also in attendance as they attempt to make the area safe.
