THE council has advised that a Glasgow city centre street has closed due to a hanging cable from a railway bridge deck.
Midland Street closed this morning at 8am because of the issue.
Traffic cannot go through the road and a police diversion is in place.

Access to the NCP Car Park will be maintained.
The local authority said more information on the closure will be updated soon.
The city's Arches is located on Midland Street.
A Network Rail spokesman said: "Engineers are on-site working to identify what has caused the cabling to come loose and to re-secure it to the bridge.”
