Shazad Ahmad was eagerly awaiting the results of his Advanced Highers with his family in Ibrox.
The Bellahouston Academy pupil earned a B in biology and a C in both maths and chemistry as well as a C in Higher ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages).
His results add to his five highers last year, two of which were at grade A.
Shazad, who is also a carer for his brother, has a place to study medicine at Aberdeen University this year.
His mum who has a PhD from University of West of Scotland said the whole family is really proud of him.
Dr Bashir, said: “He was hoping for As and Bs but we told him it is not a problem. We are all very happy he has a place at university to study medicine.”
Shazad said he was exited to be going to university.
He said: “It has always been my plan.”
His uncle, aunt and young cousins who had travelled from Surrey were with him and his parents and brother waiting for the results to arrive.
