Two years ago Natasha McNeill was receiving treatment for cancer.

Now the 17 year old Bellahouston Academy student is looking forward to starting a course at college.

She had stage 3 Hodgkins lymphoma and her education was disrupted while she underwent chemotherapy at the Beaston Centre just as she was about to sit National 5 exams.

Natasha featured in an Evening Times article and on a BBC Scotland show about the work of the Beatson with teenage cancer patients.

Yesterday, she was awaiting the results that determined whether she had got the grades she needed to secure a place at City of Glasgow College.

She needed to pass her Nat 5 English, but after having a disappointment last year was not confident of getting the grades.

However, this year Natasha passed her Higher PE and passed Nat 5 English.

She said: “I’m happy with what I got. Now I have the option of going to college.

She is considering doing a media course at the college and pursuing a career in television
