A popular city centre restaurant has announced its plans to open a second venue.

Buck's Bar has won the hearts of chicken-lovers while operating on the city's West Regent Street and is now set to take their restaurant one step further.

They will move into the former Isola Sarda Italian restaurant in Trongate in September.

The bar shared the news on their Facebook page through a video featuring some of their staff.

Donning shirts stating 'Let's get Buck'd Up!', they walked through the Trongate area before coming to a stop outside their new premises.

The announcement comes after the bar was nominated in the annual Scottish Bar and Pub Awards.

They were recognised in two categories and will compete for the Hollicom Social Media Award and Molson Coors Beer Bar of the Year.

The Glasgow favourite has become renowned for its out-there competitions and promotions, with their most recent venture being an all-day breakfast pizza.

Earlier this year they launched the 'Bird Box Challenge', wherein customers were tasked with eating a box of their famous hot chicken wings - in just 20 minutes.
