A body has been found in the search for missing Glasgow teen Rhys Bonner.

Police confirmed the tragic news earlier.

The body which is yet to be formally identified but was found in march ground between Easterhouse and Gartloch Village today.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Around midday today officers found the body of a man in marsh ground between Easterhouse and Gartloch Village.

"Formal identity has yet to take place, however the family of Rhys Bonner, 19, who had been reported missing from the Barlarnark area, has been informed.

"A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, which is unexplained at this time."
