HEAVY rain has caused extensive damage to the railway at various locations between Ardlui and Tyndrum, disrupting trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Crainlarich/Oban.
Network Rail has advised that the line between Ardlui and Crainlarich will remain closed until Thursday 22nd of August.

Engineers are working to repair flood damage around Tyndrum, with some services expected to be introduced between Crianlarich and Oban from tomorrow, although this is yet to be confirmed.
Trains which usually run between Glasgow Queen Street and Oban are cancelled, and trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Fort William/Mallaig will run between Crainlarich and Mallaig only.
Buses will run between Glasgow Queen Street and Crianlarich.
