A POPULAR city centre eatery has been forced to close its doors today after heavy rain forced its ceiling to cave in.
Martha's, based in St Vincent Street, told customers that they couldn't open today for safety reasons.
In a post on Facebook, the firm said: "Unfortunately we have been bombed by rain leaks from above.
"Our ceiling has fallen in!
"We cannot open on Monday for safety reasons...gutted. (We) will update as soon as we can."
The post was also accompanied by pictures showing the severity of the damage.
Martha's is one of the city's busiest lunchtime spots thanks to its healthy offering which was developed by award-winning nutritionist Carrie Ruxton.
The damage comes after the city was hit with torrential rain over the weekend - with several yellow warnings in place by the Met office.
