FORMER Celtic star Enrico Annoni made a return to Parkhead at the weekend - and thanked the 'warm-hearted' support.

The Italian footballer was in Glasgow for an event at the Admiral Bar on Friday night more than 20 years after he first played for the club.

He joined former player Tosh McKinlay at the city pub for 'The Defenders of Paradise' event.

The 53-year-old then watched his former side play Motherwell at Fir Park with Celtic winning 5-2.

He said on Twitter: "I left Celtic 20 years ago but every time I come back you’re all always warm-hearted towards me.

"Thank you Celtic and thank you, everybody."
