COPS are hunting for a gang of men who shouted racial abuse at a taxi driver in Paisley.

The force is investigating the hate crime which happened on Saints Street near to Love Street on Sunday at around 4.10am.

It is understood that a taxi driver, in a silver Mercedes vehicle, was subjected to racial remarks by three men.

It is claimed the men then blocked the taxi from leaving the street for a short time before the arrival of a second taxi.

Police say the suspects are believed to be in their 20s. One was wearing a grey tracksuit. Another suspect was wearing grey shorts and a grey hoodie and the final suspect wore a grey and blue hoodie.
