A cat has been reunited with her owner three years after she first went missing.
Little Amber vanished from her Erskine home in 2016, and it looked as though all hope had been lost.
But a concerned member of the public noticed a stray kitty in Stepps - which is around 20 miles away from her home - and reported her to the Scottish SPCA.
Rescue officers scanned her for a microchip, and it turned out Amber was registered to her owners.

She stayed in the care of the Scottish SPCA until her owners could collect her.
Scottish SPCA animal rescue officer, Holly Bates said: “Instances such as this prove as reminders as to why microchipping your cat is so important.
“If Amber had not been microchipped it is possible she may have never been reunited with her owners.
“It’s also important to keep your cat’s chip contact details up to date, even if they have been missing for an extended period.”
