RESTAURANT chain Project Pizza have moved forward with their plans for a Renfield Street location - by asking the local authority for permission to carry out work.

The firm has already been given permission to change the use of the empty unit on 9 Renfield Street and now they wish to make internal and external alterations to a listed building.

Project Pizza has also been given permission to open up in Glasgow's Trongate.

On their website, Project Pizza says they allow you to design and build your own bespoke pizza. Using a unique 12-inch thin crust, you can then choose their signature red-sauce, BBQ or all-white olive oil base. Then you can pick from over 30 toppings.

The firm has restaurants in Dundee, Reading, and Birmingham.

A decision on the plan is expected by October 25 and the last date for comments is September 27.
