A GLASGOW mural artist says he is gutted after one of most well-known art works was defaced.

The giant tiger mural found on the banks of the River Clyde at Glasgow City Centre was spray painted over.

Graffiti has been daubed over a section of the mural.

James work now has been seen across the city including a vibrant self-portrait on Midland Street, under Glasgow Central Station.

His works of art are all part of the City Centre Mural Trail which have been helping to rejuvenate streets and revitalise buildings and vacant sites.

The first artwork was produced in 2008 and all the murals, which are within easy walking distance of the City Centre, attract locals and tourists alike each week.
