The devastated family of a young Glasgow man who died after taking unwell on Monday evening have planned a balloon release in his memory.

Tributes poured in for the tragic youngster, named locally as Connor Luke, after his mum shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook that he had passed away.

Now, family and friends of the youngster are to gather at Kelvingrove Park to honour Connor.

We told yesterday how Carol O'Reilly said: "I became your mum at 18 then a knew what love was.

"A was so proud of that day u were my boy am going to miss u so much.

"Can’t believe your gone my hearts broken a love u more than life it self sleep tight my boy."

It's thought that Connor attended Knightswood Secondary school.

Family and friends are set to gather at the park to pay tribute to the much-loved lad on Friday evening.

Kelsey Oliver posted: "On Friday a me and few of Connor Luke's friends are all going to Kelvingrove Park on hill 60 just after the fountain to set off balloons and stuff etc at 7.

"All connors friends and family is invited".
