An Air Transat flight from Glasgow to Toronto was forced to return to the airport where it was met by fire crews.
Pictures posted on social media show four teams from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on the tarmac surrounding the Airbus A310.
The flight had left from Glasgow Airport just before 12.40pm, but flight radar maps show it making a number of turns - before returning back to the Renfrewshire runway just fifteen minutes later.

It is not yet known what caused the aircraft to return.
It is being reported that the fire crew crew were requested to be in attendance as the plane arrived but were later stood down.
An Air Transat spokesperson said: “Our flight from Glasgow to Toronto had a minor technical issue shortly after take-off today, and, returned to Glasgow Airport as a precaution.
"The aircraft landed normally and at no time was passenger safety compromised. The cause of the technical issue is now under investigation.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman added: “We received a call today at 1.17pm to assist our emergency partners at Glasgow Airport.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances, where firefighters remained on standby but further assistance was not required.”
