The fesive fun runs from December 20 - January 12 (excluding Christmas Day).

And this Saturday, shoppers at Buchanan Galleries will be able to bag themselves some fun prizes - including free carnival tickets- to celebrate the launch.

Greg Cherry, Managing Director of QD Events, organisers of the event, said: “The people of Glasgow are what makes the Carnival special and have made it such a big part of the city’s festive celebrations for the past 100 years.

“The IRN-BRU Carnival has become an iconic part of Scotland’s festive season. Generations of families come year on year, and we’ve continued to grow and improve, adding new and thrilling experiences.

“We have a lot planned for our centenary celebrations, this is going to be a very special year and our biggest Carnival to date. It’s one you won’t want to miss, and people can win their tickets and other great prizes if they are brave enough to join Paul in our dodgem at Buchanan Galleries this Saturday. There could be a few surprises in store!”
