A busy city centre road was closed off to the public last night after a pane of glass reportedly fell from a building.
Emergency services rushed to Ingram Street at the CONNECT110NS building, which is the curved glass office block overlooking the Gallery of Modern Art.
Pictures show a gap in the uppermost row of glass where a piece appears to have fallen, and the road below is littered with shards.
The road was quickly sealed off in both directions between Queen Street and Hanover Street at around 7.30pm.

This was then extended between Queen Street and South Frederick Street, and they credited the closure to an unsafe building.
It was reopened at 11.55pm.
