Resurfacing works on the M8 motorway will result in overnight closures from Monday to Thursday.

Scotland TranServ will resurface 650metres of the Westbound onslip of the M8 at Junction 26 near Hillington. 

A short section of the main M8 motorway will be closed on Wednesday and Friday night as part of the work.

Local diversions will be available throughout the week.

Ruairi Dickson, Scotland TranServ’s design lead on the project said: “In scheduling this short £106k programme, Scotland TranServ has been working in consultation with the local authorities, emergency services and key stakeholders.

"This is an extremely busy junction, and every effort has been made to keep disruption to an absolute minimum for the commuters, businesses and shoppers using this stretch of the trunk road network."

Closures will occur on the onslip and main motorway lanes between 8pm and 6am from Monday 16 to Thursday 19, with additional carriageway closure on Friday 20 between 12am and 6am.
