A man has been found dead in a flat in Glasgow.

Officers descended on Halley Place in Yoker this afternoon, however it is thought the man had died two days earlier.

Detectives are currently treating the death of the 43-year-old man as "unexplained".

A post-mortem will now take place to establish the cause of death.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed: "Enquiries are ongoing following the death of a 43-year-old man within a flat in Halley Place, Yoker, Glasgow on Tuesday, September 17.

"A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death.

"However, in meantime the death is being treated as unexplained."
