CASH and electrical goods have been stolen from a church in Motherwell.

Police are investigating the break-in at the Elim Pentecostal Church on Airbles Road which happened sometime between September 27 and October 1.

The force said a quantity of cash and electrical goods were stolen. The value was not revealed.

The force also warned: "We are aware there has been an increase in this type of crime in the area and we are working hard to identify persons responsible."
