A man has been left needing hospital treatment after a two-vehicle crash on the M8 near Glasgow city centre.
Motorists were left with lengthy delays this morning as emergency services dealt with the incident, which took place near to Junction 15 at Townhead just before 9am.
There was heavy traffic as lanes one and two westbound were closed for around an hour.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service have since confirmed: "We received a call at 08.42 hours to attend a road traffic collision on the M8 near junction 15.
"Two ambulances were dispatched to scene and one male patient in their 30s was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for further treatment.”
There is no information currently on his condition.
A Police Scotland spokesperson earlier also confirmed they were in attendence at the incident.
