A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after a stabbing at Rutherglen railway station.
Emergency services were called to the station just after 5pm amid reports of a serious assault.
The boy suffered wounds to his leg and chest during the attack.
A picture from the scene shows police officers, an ambulance and two rapid-response medic crews on site.

A British Transport Police spokesperson confirmed: "Officers were called to Rutherglen railway station at 5.13pm following a report of a stabbing.
"A teenage boy suffered wounds to his leg and chest, he has been taken to hospital and is reported to be in a critical condition.
"Officers remain at the scene and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Anyone with any information is urged to contact British Transport Police on 61016, quoting reference 387-071019.
ScotRail services have also been affected by the incident.
Posting on Twitter they confirmed: "Unfortunately, we’ve an ongoing incident at #Rutherglen and emergency services are on site.
"Due to this incident, services are unable to call at Rutherglen.
"We’re working closely with emergency services and will update you once we receive more information."
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
