A man has been arrested and charged over the death of a grandfather in Airdrie, police have confirmed.
Colin MacDonald was found seriously injured by the side of the road after reportedly being forced into the back of a car following a disturbance at his home on Frew Street in August.
The 59-year-old was rushed to Monklands Hospital, but died the following day.
Officers have now confirmed a 29-year-old man will appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday after being charged in connection with the death.
Police added inquiries remain ongoing.
