THE heartbroken wife of Rangers legend Fernando Ricksen has paid tribute to her husband one month after his death.
Veronika took to the social media website Instagram to express her grief over the loss of the footballer who died a month ago today.
Grief-stricken Veronika, 33, shared an image of the pair when they were expecting their daughter Isabella.
She said: "Here in this photo I was five-month pregnant with Isabella, and now one month without you my love.
"I wish you were here. Miss you every single day, one love, my star, shine bright #Ricksen4ever."
Fans sent messages of support to the young mum. One said: "True love. He will never leave your side."
Another added: "He's always with you."
Fernando passed at 43 after a six-year battle with Motor Neurone Disease. His Russian wife Veronika was at her husband's bedside at St Andrew's Hospice where he spent his final months battling the illness.
The footballing legend's funeral was attended by thousands of fans who showed their respect as the cortege passed by Ibrox Stadium before travelling to Wellington Church in the city's West End.
Former teammates Nacho Novo, Michael Mols, and Thomas Buffel were among the pallbearers at the service.
His funeral was also attended by those involved in the world of football including current Rangers manager Steven Gerrard and Celtic boss Neil Lennon.
