CANNABIS worth £336,000 has been recovered by police during a raid in an industrial unit.

Officers, acting under warrant, carried out the raid at an address in Strutherhill Industrial Estate on Tuesday. 

A search of the premises found over 33 kilograms of cannabis with an estimated street value of £336,000.

The force added that a 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with drug offences and is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

Inspector Brian Lindie, of Cambuslang Police Station, said: “This has been a substantial recovery by officers who conducted an intelligence-led search of the unit.

“As a result, a 45-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 6 in connection with drug offences.

“Information from the community is absolutely vital in helping us target those allegedly involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
