Simple Minds star Mick McNeil has pledged his support for a festive food basket scheme in Glasgow.
All profits from the sale of the keyboard player’s grand piano will go towards a scheme to provide families with a basket containing everything they need for a meat or vegetarian Christmas dinner.
Glasgow's first ever Basket Brigade is hoping to reach 500 Glasgow families who are experiencing hardship.
Mick’s piano will be sold by Stephen Pringle, owner of Glasgow firm Sherwood Phoenix.
Mick said: "I hope that the new lucky owner gets as many years of joy out of this piano as I have. It inspired just about everything I wrote since I got it, the piano solo section in 'Alive & Kicking', for example."
