A MAN has been stabbed in the city's East End. 

Police were called to a flat in Cranhill's Souta Place on Thursday afternoon.

The 27-year-old was stabbed and left with serious injuries to his stomach and leg.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and his condition is not life-threatening.

Police said they are following a positive line of enquiry. 

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received a report of a serious assault in a flat in Soutra Place, Glasgow at around 4.15 pm on Thursday, November 28.

"A 27-year-old man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries to his stomach and leg that are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Officers are following a positive line of enquiry."
