AN ELDERLY John Barrowman fan joked that it would probably be the last time she saw the star when she attended his Glasgow concert.

The woman, known as Anne, 88, managed to grab John's attention by hold up a banner claiming to be his biggest fan.

John then told his fans on social media: "Anne (my biggest fan)came to see the show tonight in Glasgow.

"She has followed me for years.

"She said to me, 'This will probably be the last time I will get to ever see you and I’m so happy'

"I don’t believe her, post some messages below to her as we expect to see her at the next tour right #fanfamily?"

Glasgow-born John, 52, was in the city at the SEC Armadillo with his new Christmas show last night after cancelling the original concert date on Sunday. He ruptured the vertebrae in his neck forcing him to reschedule the performance.

He said after the concert: "Everybody just to say thank you very much to Glasgow and everybody who came out tonight to see the show and swapped the dates I really appreciate it.

"I didn't think I was going to be able to be in Glasgow but not we are back on schedule and a Fabulous Christmas is continuing to happen and everybody is loving it and we love that you are all being there celebrating the Christmas season with us

"Thank you very much, Glasgow, it was awesome, go on yourself and we will see you next time."
