A MAN has died after he was allegedly attacked on a street in Easterhouse.
The 43-year-old was discovered on Lochend Road at around 4.45 pm yesterday.
He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but couldn't be saved.
Police confirmed that they have arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with the death.
The force closed off Lochend Road just after 6 pm last night.
Stagecoach said that their X19 service had been forced to divert from the road due to the ongoing investigation.
Today forensic officers were on site carrying out their investigation while police officers kept the cordon in place.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police can confirm that a man, 43, has been arrested in connection with the death of a man, also 43-years-old, in the Easterhouse area of Glasgow.
"The man was found with serious injuries on Lochend Road around 4.45 pm on Tuesday, December 3. He was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.
"Enquiries into his death are ongoing."
