A PEDESTRIAN has been hit by a car in Glasgow's East End.
The tragic incident happened on Mount Vernon Avenue at around 5.50 pm last night.
Traffic cops closed the road to begin their investigation into the crash.
The condition of those involved is not known.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police are currently in attendance following a serious crash in Mount Vernon Avenue in the Baillieston area of Glasgow.
"The incident involved a pedestrian and the crash happened around 5:50 pm.
"Officers are still at the scene and the road is still closed."
