TWO thugs attacked a man with a bladed weapon in the stairwell of a block of flats in Rutherglen.
The 29-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizbeth University Hospital with serious injuries to his arm following the assault within Springhall Court on Monday at 9.30 pm.
Police said the victim was approached by two men in the stairwell and he was attacked with a bladed weapon.
Both suspects were wearing dark clothing. One had a balaclava covering his face and the other had a scarf covering his face.
Detective Constable Derek Young, of Cambuslang CID, said: "I'm appealing to anyone who saw two men matching these descriptions or acting suspiciously around that area of Rutherglen to contact us."
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3624 of 2 December 2019.
