Fans of Lewis Capaldi were treated to a free post-gig Greggs after the star's sellout show in Glasgow.

The Scots singer performed in front of 2,500 adoring fans at the city's O2 Academy - rated four stars by one of our reporters - and surprised them by announced he'd put a tab on at the local Greggs exclusively for attendees.

Hundreds descended on the bakery on Argyle Street which stayed open late to served fans - they had a choice of baked goods or sweet treats.

The shop featured an in-store DJ and a cheeky themed shop front, and fans were spotted enjoying sausage rolls and steak bakes.

Before the gig, Lewis announced to his 4.2 million Instagram followers: “As a thank you for coming tonight I’ve put a tab behind the local Greggs on Argyle Street for you all.

Glasgow Times:

“The Bakes are on me! Steak Bakes, Vegan Sausage Rolls and doughnuts, get whatever you want. You’ll just need your blue wristband after the gig.”

He recently bagged his second UK number 1 of the year with his latest hit 'Before You Go' on The Official Big Top 40. ‘Someone You Loved’ has also now been streamed more than a billion times worldwide and has even climbed to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
