ACTOR, director and comedian, Ben Miller, who lives just outside of Cirencester, appeared at The King’s Head Hotel during the Cirencester Advent Festival on Saturday November 30 for an exclusive book signing following the annual fireworks display.

Ben Miller, who is well known for being best known as one half of comedy double act Armstrong and Miller, signed copies of his books The Night I Met Father Christmas and The Boy Who Made the World Disappear.

People who bought copies of those books got £1 off each book sold with money being donated to local charity Home-Start Cotswolds.

Home-Start is a national family support charity that helps parents to build better lives for their children.

Each year trained volunteers provide support and friendship to more than 27,000 families and 56,000 children across the United Kingdom.

Home-Start Cotswolds is one of more than 200 local Home-Start schemes which are run as small independent charities under the Home-Start UK umbrella.

Ben also recently visited The Barn Theatre, who are the Media Partner for this year’s Cirencester Advent Festival, to meet the theatre’s Artistic Director Iwan Lewis and to film promotional videos for the event.

This year’s festival also featured performances from Olivier Award nominee Patrick Ryecart and the cast of The Barn Theatre’s Built By Barn production of A Christmas Carol and the students of Barn Academy.

For theatre-lovers of all ages and backgrounds, The Barn Theatre is the place to share top-class regional theatre and performing arts education.
