Glasgow rapper and social activist Darren 'Loki' McGarvey has helped launch a Christmas toy bank in response to his "disappointment" following the general election result.
The Conservative Party came away with a majority government following the public vote on December 12, sparking Loki's fiance starting up the new toy bank.
The prize-winning author tweeted: "My partner has decided to deal with the disappointment of the election by setting up a Christmas Toy Bank for families of young children. Any help in publicising it is welcome also."
An advert for the Every Kid donation drive asks for "nearly new toys" that will go to families in Glasgow with young children.
It adds there is no referral needed, no means testing and completely free - encouraging people to take what they need.
