A CHARITY worker has reached out to Kevin Bridges in a heartwarming exchange after he tried to donate to a West End shop.

Samantha Penman thanked the Clydebank-born comedian on Twitter for attempting to donate into the Byres Road branch of Cancer Research UK.

She had to refuse the comedian's donation, however, after a recent flood meant their basement was out of use to hold stock.

On Twitter, she said: "Hey Kevin Bridges, sorry I couldn't take your donation today in the Cancer Research shop on Byres Road.

"Our basement was flooded last week and we can't take donations please use cancer research in the future have a merry Xmas."

Kevin replied: "Likewise. I will be in soon."

Kevin, 33, married Kerry Monaghan earlier this year in an intimate ceremony at St Peter's Catholic Church in Hyndland.
