A man has been left injured after being knocked off his scooter in the middle of Glasgow’s busiest street.
Police were called to St Vincent Street at its junction with Buchanan Street at around 12.30pm.
Shoppers rushed to the aid of the man, whose age is not known, as police closed off the street.
Eyewitnesses noted the man lying in the middle of the road with his scooter close by.
Hundreds of Christmas shoppers were on the style mile this afternoon during one of the country’s busiest Saturdays.
The victim’s injuries are not yet known, however police do not believe them to be serious.
Police have now closed St Vincent Place at Queen Street, and are diverting traffic to George Square.
