A WEST END eatery has announced it is closing for good.
Nick's Neighbourhood Bar and Diner told its customers that it was closing on the social media website Facebook.
The restaurant hinted that they will reopen with a new venture in the spring but provided no further details.
The news comes after Nick's underwent a major refurbishment last year.

In a statement, the Hyndland Road restaurant said: "As we prepare for a new chapter in 2020, we'd like to say thanks to all our amazing customers old and new.
"From today we'll sadly be closing Nick's with an exciting new venture coming to Hyndland this Spring.
"Watch this space for more on what's to come, look forward to seeing you again soon."

It is understood that the restaurant is owned by entrepreneur Oli Norman who is also behind the deal's website Itison.
Oli owns a string of pubs and restaurants including Sloans, Brel, Maggie May, Jacques, Epicures and The Griffin in Glasgow.
