RANGERS legend Ally McCoist has stepped into the world of social media in 2020 - by joining Instagram.
The 57-year-old has already acquired more than 17,000 followers since opening the account today.
He posted a picture with fellow commentator Jon Champion and said: "Instagram - it's a pleasure to be here!
"Happy New Year everyone - hope 2020 is a champion year for you all."
His move to the platform has received a celeb approval with former Rangers stars Nacho Novo and Kris Boyd among his followers as well as singer Amy MacDonald.
McCoist played for Rangers for more than a decade in the eighties and nineties. Today he is a TV and radio broadcaster appearing on both BT Sport and TalkSport.
His move to Instagram was lapped up by Rangers fans.
One said: "Welcome super Ally."
Another added: "Welcome to Instagram, legend."
Kris Boyd also confirmed the news on his Instagram saying: "It's also time to announce that super Ally has joined Instagram."
