MADJID BOUGHERRA wouldn't rule out returning to Scottish football as a boss after kicking off his coaching career in the Middle East.

The Algerian spent three successful seasons at Rangers as he won six major honours under the guidance of Walter Smith.

Bougherra is now aiming to move into the dugout and is keen to make a name for himself in the next stage of his career.

He said: "I love it. When I stopped playing I did nothing for six months and then decided that couldn’t continue. I started to smell the grass again, miss the atmosphere in the dressing room and so I started my new life.

"In football you never know. I played in the Scottish league, so why not? But I’m still young and have a lot to learn over the next five years, so I’m focused on my career over here, where life is good!"
