A man has been arrested for allegedly causing a ruckus on a bus by using "pepper spray" on Saturday, January 11.
Our sister title, The Gazette, reports that the 41-year-old is said to have sprayed the substance on a friend, 25, as the pair travelled on a replacement bus service between Paisley Gilmour Street and Greenock.
The driver and several passengers felt irritation on their eyes and skin and the vehicle was halted.

It came to a stop as it passed through Bishopton, in Greenock Road, around 11.30am.
The pair were removed from the bus and later found by officers, who arrested the man for alleged culpable and reckless conduct.
No one on the bus received medical treatment.
He is due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court today.
