Princes Square is inviting everyone to join in on their free family ceilidh to celebrate Burns Day on January 25.

Taking place in the courtyard from 1pm-4pm, this year's musical entertainment is courtesy of Glasgow's own Reelie Jiggered Ceilidh Band. The band have been together for more than 10 years and are guaranteeing that you’ll go home with a skip in your stride and a smile on your face.

Those who are feeling a bit rusty are assured that there will be a run through of the dance steps before each song takes place.

Katie Moody from Princes Square said: “Ceilidh in the Courtyard is a fantastic FREE event for all the family and a great way of celebrating the birthday of our national poet."

"We’re looking forward to seeing everyone donning their tartan and slipping on their dancing shoes to join the jigging gents and dancing lassies in true Glaswegian style! If you’d rather sit back and watch the ceilidh in action, you can enjoy lunch and drinks in one of our restaurants.”

There is no booking required for the event - just turn up with your best dancing shoes!
