A new home for Pollok Post Office has got the stamp of approval.

A “local” service will launch at 1pm on Thursday, January 23, from The Wedge at 1066 Barrhead Road.

The new Pollok branch is delighted to welcome customers to the store. Local residents and a small amount of customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mail services.

The mail operator is reminding the public that, as with any other branch, robust security procedures are in place and that staff handling transactions will be fully trained on all operational and service issues.

Kenny Lamont, Post Office Area Change Manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”

Post Office services will be available during the store’s opening hour: 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday – Wednesday; 9am to 5:30; Thursday – Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.

The current Pollok Post Office at 763 Barrhead Road will close at 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 22.
