A 16-year old girl from the Paisley area is missing and was last seen in Glasgow Central Station on Friday, January 17. 

Mia Russell is described as white, 5ft 3 with long brown hair and is also known to have links to the Drumchapel area.

Police are increasingly worried about her safety and have launched an urgent appeal for information. 

When she was last seen Mia was wearing a red jacket, black jeans, a white top and pink Nike shoes.

Sergeant Gail Fitzpatrick from Paisley Police Office said, " As time goes by we are becoming increasingly concerned for Mia's safety.

"Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace her. If Mia is reading this I would ask her to please get in touch to let us know she is safe".
