A gas leak at Charing Cross has caused an emergency road closure of a junction with Sauchiehall Street.
SGN engineers are at the scene to trace the source of the leak forcing the closure of the left turn from the road into North Street.
Diversions have been signposted but delays are expected on the busy route.
The leak is thought to be linked to repairs of a gas main in the nearside lane of North Street which started on Wednesday, January 15.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "In order for SGN to trace a gas leak at Charing Cross the left turn from Sauchiehall Street to North Street will be closed until further notice.
"Delays should be expected."
Dan Brown, a spokesman for SGN, said: "The nearside lane remains closed to northbound motorists, close to its junction with Woodlands Road, for everyone’s continued safety around our site.
"This is a complex repair and our engineers remain on site to investigate the leak and fix our network as quickly and safely as possible.
"However, it’s still too early at this stage to say how long it will take to complete our work."
