RANGERS kid Jordan Houston is set to extend his stay at Ayr United after the Honest Men clinched a deal for the 19-year-old.
Houston spent the second half of last season on loan at Airdrie and then moved to Somerset Park in the summer.
The full-back is now poised to complete a permanent switch to the Championship promotion hopefuls but Rangers will retain an option in the future after a nominal fee was agreed with Mark Kerr's side.
Houston has represented Scotland at youth level and was handed his debut by Steven Gerrard against Cowdenbeath last term.
