A NEW West End eatery that opened this week has topped our Glasgow restaurant Power Rankings List.

Ka Pao is a new addition to Vinicombe Street.

The Asian restaurant has been created by the team behind Ox and Finch.

Our Glasgowist Paul Trainer has described the eatery as 'an exciting new addition to the West End food scene'.

His list also includes Five March, Koko House, Rawnchy Cafe and Ramen Ramen.

1 Ka Pao (New Entry)

The one everyone is talking about. Housed in the basement of the Botanic Gardens Garage on Vinicombe Street, this is a modern, bright, stylish space for 120 covers across a large dining room, with a custom-designed open kitchen and a bar area featuring comfortable booths and high tables. An exciting new addition to the west end food scene.

2 Five March (Up One)

A slick bar with suburban sensibilities and creative small plates. Popular ingredients include seared scallops, torched salmon and pork croquettes. A space for friends, food, cocktails and good times. Your favourite local DJ probably drinks here. 

3 KoKo House (New Entry)

A Japanese food trend, spinning in French techniques to the mix, soufflé pancake are served at KoKo House, which you can find at 175 Great George Street, just off Byres Road from this week.

4 Rawnchy Cafe (Down One

Now serving their colourful vegan and raw desserts in Dennistoun with a quirky new cafe on Bellgrove Street. There's also porridge and banana toast in the morning with open sandwiches and soup in the afternoon.   

5  Ramen Ramen (New Entry)

Japanese noodle bar, Ramen Ramen, is making an impression at the corner of Bath Street and West Nile Street. The new restaurant is from the team behind Edinburgh's Maki & Ramen, known for their authentic, spicy ramen dishes and sushi.
