Child-friendly first aid courses are being offered to youths in East End Glasgow. 

The classes are organised by Glasgow's Eastend Youth Carers to teach the children basic knowledge on first aid. 

Each course will focus on different first aid skill that may come in useful for them in the future.

The first course for 10-12-year-olds will start on February 19 at 6pm at the Co-op on Alexandra Parade in Dennistoun. 

It will teach the children basic skills such as understanding the situation, calling 999, putting an individual in recovery position and the DRSABC action plan. 

A separate simplified course is also organised for children aged between five and nine. 

The 1-2-3 Learn First Aid Course will focus on teaching the kids about dangers, breathing, staying calm, calling 999 and describing the scene.

Children will learn important emergency skills through games and workbooks. 

It will take place on Februay 29 and the courses for each age group are priced at £2.
